"I'd come to Christchurch just to stay here. First, I loved the property. It was easy to get to, in a great location and just the right size. I wish I could have stayed longer, and the photos don't do it justice. It's just the right size - small and intimate. Cute, sparkling clean, and plenty of lighting inside. I'd almost call it a boutique hotel. Second - and most important - was the service. I reserved earlier that day and got there late after a long drive. The host was happy to let me in and even gave me a better room that fit me better. I got unloaded into the room, and found flowers there. What?? I'd mentioned when reserving that it was my birthday and I was looking forward to the room, and in between the time I reserved and the time I arrived, the host went out and bought some flowers for me. It was the nicest surprise from a complete stranger who definitely didn't have to. It's one of the best birthday presents I've ever received."
